Wisdom Teeth Extraction?

Well, your surgeon's office should have reviewed this information with you already. But, I'll do it for you. You will receive anesthesia, and most likely will need a ride home. You may swell for a couple of days. You will need to rest for the first 36-48 hours as much as possible. Keep a cold pack on for at least the first 12 hours. Beginning 24 hours after surgery, GENTLY rinse with warm salt water. Very gently. Continue that routine for 3-5 days, at least 3 times a day. You may have some pain or soreness for a couple of days, but your surgeon should prescribe pain meds. Do not smoke while your gums heal. You will risk a dry socket; infection. Please call the oral surgeon's office so you won't flip out! Have fun! :)
