IS it okay for a 13 year old to see Watchmen?

My brother was thinking about taking me to see it with him, but as for all these reviews, fans are claiming its too much for minors. I've just finished the novel, and i think it is marvelous. I understand most of it, and i don't really think any of this violence or will be new to me
